Following adidas' announcement to continue to sell the brand's footwear throughout the rest of the year, we've now got our first official reveal of the YEEZY 500 High Tactical Boot "Sand."

With an aesthetic that looks like it arrived directly from Operation Desert Storm, this pair sports a tonal all-tan finish atop a raised version of the classic 500 silhouette we've all come to know and love. Now that adidas has decided to plough ahead with selling its archive of unreleased Yeezys (and donating some of the profits) there’s a high chance that a few never-before-seen styles could drop over the next few months, and rumour has it that these two colourways of the Yeezy 500 High Utility Boot are amongst the first on the list. Originally shared by renowned sneaker insider Masterchefian, the two pairs are expected to form part of the Three Stripes’ FW23 Yeezy release schedule - so here’s what we know so far…

Boasting a tactical-style appearance, the foot part isn't too dissimilar from the 500 itself, keeping the model’s usual suede toebox and heel, as well as its iconic bubbled sole. From here, the boot works its way upward, utilising neoprene, and a structured canvas similar to that seen on the 950 boot, 80s this time in a much slimmer fit. With Ye being seen out and about in his own The Adidas Gazelle sneaker over the past few months, it does beg the question as to whether the Yeezy 500 High Boot played an early part in the style’s development.
