These shelves are far from cheap, but the quality is awful. Certainly not any easy build. The whole unit is held together with loose dowels and screws that are meant to be secured by cam lock fittings. The problem is once you connect the cam lock you discover the screws aren't fixed in place so the cam locks are meaningless. The units wobble terribly because they're not held together securely. They look beautiful but the build quality urgently needs to be reviewed, these are an accident waiting to happen until I get some real screws or glue on it.

It says on the instructions a 25 min build. Well I tired my best 45 mins later…it fell apart twice. Gave up and thought ‘I won’t be beaten’ took it all upstairs and tried again. Tried my best and every time I moved it, it fell apart. From a safety point you really should attach to a wall. Mine didn’t get that far. Despite trying 3 times to get this built it would not stay intact. How hard is it to a) have a back piece, 5 shelves, 2 sides …screw together using locking screw. …clearly I’m a woman of a certain age and talented in many ways, but not for building furniture. Lol one would say Simple’s ….very concerned about the stability aspect. A child could easily topple this over and it would fall apart. Hence it’s sitting in the garage awaiting uplift.
